“Wakisii hawataenda Mbinguni,Niliwaona Wote Wakichomeka” Yesu of Tongaren Now says.

In recent years, there have been several reports of individuals proclaiming themselves as Jesus Christ or messiah figures, claiming to have special access to divine knowledge and power. Unfortunately, some of these individuals have used their platform to spread hateful and divisive messages, often targeting specific groups of people.

One such individual is the self-proclaimed Jesus of Tongaren, who has made headlines in Kenya for his controversial statements about the Abagusii people. The Abagusii, also known as the Kisii or Gusii, are a Bantu ethnic group primarily located in western Kenya and northern Tanzania.

According to reports, the Jesus of Tongaren has claimed that the Abagusii people will not go to heaven because they do not follow his teachings. He has also reportedly referred to them as “evil” and “wicked.”

These statements are not only deeply offensive but also completely unfounded. The Abagusii people, like all people, have their own unique cultural practices and beliefs. However, there is no evidence to suggest that they are any less worthy of going to heaven than anyone else.

Furthermore, it is concerning that an individual would use their platform to spread such harmful messages. Religion should be a source of comfort and inspiration, not a means of spreading hate and division.

It is important to remember that not all self-proclaimed messiah figures are genuine or well-intentioned. It is up to each individual to critically evaluate the messages they receive and determine whether they align with their own values and beliefs.
