In a video she posted on her Instagram account, she revealed that her father holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany and Zoology, a Master’s degree in Plant Ecology, and a Ph.D. in Plant Ecology, all from the University of Nairobi. This claim sparked a lot of discussion and debate online, with some people questioning the accuracy of the statement, while others praised the President’s academic achievements.

Obtaining a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degree from a reputable institution like the University of Nairobi is no mean feat. It requires hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. It is, therefore, understandable that Charlene Ruto is proud of her father’s academic achievements.

However, the claim that President Ruto is the most educated President in Africa is open to debate. Other African Presidents have impressive academic credentials as well. For instance, Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda, has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Bradford in the UK. He also attended several leadership and management courses at Harvard University in the USA.

Similarly, John Pombe Magufuli, the late President of Tanzania, had a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also held a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Dar es Salaam.
