DJ Joe Mfalme, 6 Others Linked to Death of DCI Officer Detained for 14 Days

A court in Nairobi has ordered police to arrest seven suspects linked to the death of Inspector Felix Kelian Kitosi, who died after an alleged assault.
Kibera Chief Magistrate Margret Murage ordered the suspects, including popular entertainer Joseph Mwenda aka DJ Joe Mfalme, to be detained for 14 days.
The prosecution, through Inspector Kosen, had asked for 21 days, but the judge ruled that two weeks was enough for detectives to complete their investigation.
The prosecution told the court that the accused persons are a flight risk and should be detained pending the conclusion of the investigation. DJ Joe Mfalme’s defense asked for permission to attend planned events over the Easter weekend, but the judge refused. The judge ordered that Mfalme, who spent the weekend in custody, be detained at Muthangari Police Station with Eric Gathua and Simon Wanjiru.
Allan Ochieng will be detained at Kabete Police Station while three officers Khadija Abdi Wako, Sammy Rotich and Agnes Mogoi at Riruta Police Station. The magistrate directed that the matter be mentioned on April 8 for further action
