The reggae dancehall icon has paid tribute to his 20-year-old son and mourned his loss.
On Thursday, April 4, he took to his social media to say “Sip papa God knows.”
A sibling confirmed the death to the Jamaica Observer blog.
Yes, it is true,” Jahazeil Myrie, another of Banton’s sons, told Observer Online on Monday. “It’s not my business to say, it’s not my personal job to share any personal information about Miles, my father is the one who should share any details, but Miles is a hortic jute, his soul was pure, so I had to say something. ”
Jahazeil shared a photo of the pair on his Instagram Stories as he seemingly mourned the loss of his sibling.
The post featured Popcaan’s mournful single Only Jah Know along with a broken heart emoji.
Grandma Morgan praised the young man in the message
