Kariobangi Sharks Secure Vital Victory, Homeboyz Hold Gor Mahia

Kariobangi Sharks boosted their survival hopes in the FKF Premier League by edging past Tusker FC 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
William Muluya’s side struck first in the 22nd minute when John Mark Makwatta capitalized on a loose ball, courtesy of Geoffrey ‘Lefta’ Ochieng’s run and Julius Masaba’s assist.

Tusker FC equalized just before halftime through debutant Dennis Oguta, connecting with Mike Kibwage’s long pass. The teams entered halftime level, setting the stage for an intense second half.
Makwatta put Sharks ahead again in the 56th minute, latching onto Masaba’s pass to beat the Tusker keeper. However, Tusker fought back, with David Ojok leveling the score in the 72nd minute after capitalizing on defensive errors.

Masaba sealed the win for Sharks with a splendid curling effort, assisted by Stanley Wilson Omondi, securing all three points. With this victory, Sharks climbed to 12th place on the league table with 30 points, maintaining a five-point cushion above the relegation zone.
In another match at the same venue, Kakamega Homeboyz held defending champions Gor Mahia to a goalless draw, preventing them from extending their lead at the top.
Meanwhile, Shabana FC, under Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo’s guidance, ended a three-month winless streak by thrashing Posta Rangers 3-0 at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay. Brian Machira, Tegisi, and Lloyd Khavuchi found the net for Shabana.

In Muhoroni, Steven Bulugu delivered a standout performance for Muhoroni Youth, leading them to victory against Nairobi City Stars. The 18-year-old left-back scored from a free-kick and contributed defensively to secure a clean sheet for his team. He walked home with the overall man of the Match award.
