This comes amid the public uproar over Ruto’s decision to reappoint six of the 22 former CSs who were dismissed a fortnight ago.
The Head of State is set to appoint his remaining cabinet secretaries today.

Maraga, 73, had a very successful career as a judge spanning over two decades which culminated in his appointment as Chief Justice in 2016.
Throughout his journey in the country’s justice system, Maraga cut an image of a man of high integrity. During his interview for the CJ position in 2016, the former Court of Appeal judge swore before the interview panel that he had never received a bribe during his time on the bench.
He is best remembered for nullifying former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in 2017 in an election petition filed by ODM presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
In 2022, Maraga was appointed by Uhuru as the chairman of the presidential taskforce on police reforms in the country.
