President Ruto also ordered the artist to be transferred from Level Five Hospital Kiambu to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment.
According to Muraya, the president ordered that he would pay for Miracle Baby’s medical bills in the future and told the family to stop holding fundraisers.
Jaguar added that “the bills will be taken care of by the president from now on. We have been raising funds to support the family, but the bills are still mounting even after he was fired.”
President Ruto also donated Sh300,000 directly to the Miracle Baby family to support themselves.
The former Sailors Gang member was in hospital for two months and was released following the intervention of comedian Eric Omondi.
In a heartwarming show of solidarity, online supporters raised over Sh1 million in February to support Miracle Baby’s recovery.
After weeks in hospital with the bill running into millions and public interference, Miracle Baby was still left with a Sh1.4 million bill that needed to be settled before he could leave the hospital.
Omondi took up the cause and mobilized his Sisi Kwa Sisi team to raise the funds that would finally settle the bill.
Omondi shared the good news of the release of Miracle Baby and thanked fans and members of the public who contributed to the initiative, including through prayers.
Carol Katrue shares details on Miracle Baby’s condition
According to his partner Carol Katrue, Miracle Baby has been dealing with an intestinal obstruction since 2018, a condition that was initially treated and the appendix removed, although they were not informed of the procedure.
During Katrue’s initial treatment, she added, doctors informed them of a growth on her intestines that needed to be removed, which later turned out to be inaccurate.
“When they did a CT scan and identified the growth, they performed surgery to remove it. However, when they realized there was actually no growth, they removed the appendix without informing us,” Katrue explained.
Miracle Baby seemed to be fine until 2023, when his stomach problems reappeared. During this period he visited the hospital for treatment and then returned home.
During these visits, they discovered that the previous hospital was not performing the treatment correctly, which led to a recurrence of the problem.
The artist’s family spends more than Sh20,000 a day to meet his basic needs and take care of his post-surgery wounds.
