Gachagua urged the people of Western to align themselves with President William Ruto to reap the benefits of development.
Vice President Rigathi Gachagua has warned the crowds forming beneath the Maandamano anti-government protests that the administration will not tolerate any additional demonstrations.
“Your departure day is Monday. The government will use its power to maintain the law and safeguard people’s lives and property. It won’t be business as usual since it’s morally repugnant and wrong “added he.
At a thanksgiving service in Kakamega that was sponsored by 40 churches on Saturday, Gachagua gave a speech.
At Silungai Primary School in the Malava constituency, the service was held.
“This idea of wearing sufurias on your hats and making noise during protests cannot accomplish anything,” Gachagua remarked.
According to Gachagua, Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio alliance, was attempting to force the government to negotiate for a position in government rather than the protests being about the expense of living.
He claimed that discussing Raila’s eventual departure from the administration is the only reason for the government to meet with him.
He declared, “That is the only agenda.”
Meanwhile, Gachagua urged the people of Western to align themselves with President William Ruto to reap the benefits of development.
“It’s time for Western to move en masse to support the government. If you keep sowing in the same place and reaping nothing, it’s time to have a paradigm shift and align yourself with President William Ruto so that the community can reap the maximum it can and develop,” he said.
