Media personality Stephen Letoo has resigned as the chairman of the dubbed Men’s Conference forum. Notifying netizens on Tuesday, 30th April 2024, the self-acclaimed chairman and advocate for polygamy marriage said he opted to resign following the external pressure exerted by the members of the public.
“Fellow Kenyans, I have been forced to cut short my trip to Zanzibar and come back to the country to address the pertinent issue about the leadership of the Men’s Conference that I have been leading as the chairman,” Letoo says. “
After soul searching and seeing what has been happening online, I have decided to step down as the chairman of the Men’s Conference. I have therefore tendered in my resignation letter to the office of the Men’s Conference, and I’m leaving the office right now. Letoo continues.
Additionally, Stephen Letoo has stated that he is available for consultations even if it might take some time for the office to hire someone of the late Mzee Kibor’s caliber.
“To members, I would be available for any consultation because I can assure my members that it would be more difficult to fill Stephen Letoo’s shoes as the Men’s Conference chairman,” he says, adding that it was very difficult to fill Mzee Kibor’s shoes.
Days after paying over Ksh 50 million for the wedding of a pulchritudinous damsel named Irene Renoi, Stephen Letoo resigned from the so-called Men’s Conference.
Before the grand wedding, he alleged that as the advocate for polygamy, he was set to wed more than two wives but to the shock of the members of the Men’s Conference, he came out and married one wife. Feeling the pressure and the sense of betrayal, the members camped on social media and forced him to resign.
