Gen Z to Hold Largest Nationwide Demonstration on August 8 to Demand Ruto’s Removal from Office

A few days after Gen Z suspended their demonstration, they planned another large protest to occur on August 8, as reported by KTN today. The demonstration will take place at 7 PM in Nairobi, Eldoret, Mombasa, Kisumu, and other major towns.
Gen Z stated that President Ruto has not delivered on some of the promises made to them and continues to make new promises, which they are tired of hearing. Their main purpose for the demonstration is to remove President Ruto from office, along with his government.
The schedule and program for the demonstration have already been published on various social media platforms. Gen Z urges everyone to participate and fight for their rights. The demonstration was organized on platforms like TikTok, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). The schedule is as follows: from August 28 to August 31, 2024, people from different parts of the country will travel to Nairobi. On August 1, 2024, the residents of Nairobi are expected to welcome all those who arrive in the city. On the 5th, the details of the demonstration will be planned, and then participants will rest on the 6th and 7th, in preparation for the major demonstration on August 8.
Gen Z has emphasized that the demonstration will be peaceful and has promised that there will be no destruction of property. They have urged the police not to use excessive force to disperse the demonstrators or to abduct any participants.
